  • PURPOSE & MISSION

    The purpose of the Wilberforce University Alumni Association is to promote the welfare of Wilberforce University, its alumni, and society at large with funding, student referrals, and overall support for the good the continuing existence of the university.

    Organized and incorporated, the association has a proud history of connecting alumni back to Wilberforce, to each other, and sharing its influence and resources in supporting the university's mission. The association organized for the mutual benefit and prosperity of Wilberforce University, its graduates, former students, and others committed to the university. The alumni association is comprised of 8 Executive Board members and 15 members as Board of Directors. Learn more about the

    The Washington, DC Alumni Chapter of Wilberforce University has been supporting the university in achieving its educational goals through its alumni's organized efforts. The DC Alumni Chapter has strived to be a continuous force in keeping local alumni abreast of current developments, activities, and future plans at Wilberforce. The chapter seeks to increase alumni awareness and involvement in the Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia areas and support the national organization's efforts by recruiting students, contributing to various scholarships and endowments.

    The Washington, DC Alumni Chapter is committed to its mission:

    • Promote the interests and welfare of Wilberforce University and its constituents.
    • Create and carry out fundraising activities in support of providing financial support to the university and its students.
    • Provide an opportunity for fellowship and networking among students and alumni.
    • Be a Wilberforce presence in the Metropolitan Washington area.
    • Serve as an advocate and protector of Wilberforce's rich heritage.
    • Conduct community service projects throughout the year.
    • Mobilize alumni to meet the particular needs of the university.
